About Red Images

Specialist photography.

Heather created and worked under the brand Red Images Fine Photography for over 14 years. She managed to exceed within her industry, being one of very few female commercial photographers to achieve contracts with the likes of Panasonic, Rio Tinto, Witchery Clothing, Brookfield MultiPlex and Thames & Hudson. Heather specialised in portraiture, architecture, interiors, mining and industrial areas.

Although Heather has ceased her commercial photography brand, Red Images Fine Photography, you can still contact her on this site. This is her current photography brand,  Heather Robbins Photography, while she researches a new career path. This new site offers Heather a platform for her to share her own fine art projects alongside family portraiture services. Heather is still based in Perth, Western Australia.

When Panasonic had a requirement to engage a photographer to take some images in Perth, I searched the AIPP website and was impressed by Heather’s portfolio and her photography experience in the mining industry.

I booked Heather to capture some images of a Panasonic customer who uses our rugged product line.  The images needed to be taken in the field to a specific brief.

I was impressed with Heather for several reasons. She was very flexible and willing to work directly with our customer to arrange a suitable time, which was very helpful as we are Sydney based and could not attend the shoot.  Heather worked closely to the brief we provided and captured every shot we needed.  Her follow-up was excellent and she was prepared to make any small retouching required to the images.

The images exceeded our expectations – they were very professional, creative, and precisely to the brief required for our marketing team.  I would definitely recommend Heather’s work to other businesses looking for a commercial photographer.

APA Group is Australia’s largest energy infrastructure business, transporting around half of Australia’s gas usage. We recently had the need for a Perth based photographer to take some images of some energy infrastructure assets located along the Turquoise Coast. Heather came recommended by another Perth based photographer – that was the first great sign for us as it showed the respect that someone in the industry/ a fellow colleague and potential competitor, had for Heather’s work. The second positive indicator was the ease of communication with Heather and her willingness to meet our brief and be as flexible as the shoot required. Heather’s great photos of our wind farm and gas storage facilities confirmed we’d chosen the right photographer for us! Heather has the skill to make the most uninteresting and/or sterile piece of equipment come to life. It was also just quite simply a pleasure to work with Heather as she makes everyone around her feel comfortable – especially our camera shy engineers and operators which gave us some wonderful images for our company marketing and communication needs.

Before hiring Heather many of the styled homes shoots we featured ran the risk of appearing too architectural and static in appearance. What we found with Heather’s approach to her photography was that her style and good use of natural light and composition brought a more personal edge to the photography that helped produce shoots that gave us the more lifestyle feel we were after.

While working with Heather we have found her very accommodating and enthusiastic with each new project we put her way. We have had complete faith in her ability to liaise with clients and stylists and can rely upon her to produce exactly what we’re after.

As a result, more of the photography used in Scoop Homes & Art magazine is reflecting the high international standards that we work towards.

For those thinking of hiring Heather is that it is something that you will not regret. You’ll find that her dedication and professionalism towards her work is second to none, always a joy to work with and someone who we hope to continue a good working relationship with across more of our titles at Scoop Publishing.

Having only recently purchased our business after many years in the industry Red Images has shown us the true value of an image. A picture truly is worth a thousand words, to be able show potential clients what we actually do rather than trying to put it into words is invaluable. Red Images has supplied the perfect snap shot of one of our jobs so we can show the market just what we are capable of.

The team at Red Images were an absolute pleasure to deal with, we gave them short notice for a job which required a large amount of travel and an overnight stay and they were able to respond immediately.  Safety is the highest priority and our photographer Heather was a true professional following all site instructions and always checking first before doing anything to ensure things where done safely and correctly.

The images from our shoot have been used for tender submissions, board meetings, webpage updates and much more. We are always getting asked who took the images and we always tell them Red Images.

If you are looking to get some images and you want someone you can trust to be SAFE, HONEST and procedure the most amazing images for your business then you MUST get Heather and the team at Red Images to take them.

Yours Sincerely,

Steve Payne

Before hiring Heather and working with Red Images Fine Photography our photography collection was extremely limited.  We felt it didn’t give any justice to the diverse scope of projects that Northerly Group had completed.

Since Hiring Heather, we have built an immense database of wonderful imagery that truly displays the level of work we are consistently producing.  As a result, our website has been completely re-designed and updated and we have received great feedback.  We also hired Heather to capture staff portrait photos and our staff and management were extremely happy with the end result.  We find Heather extremely easy to work with, very obliging and always listens to our ideas. We have no hesitation in recommending Red Images Fine Photography to anyone.
